Reflections on Love

Neon Lady thinks these are special and I have to agree.

1. MUSIC: It blesses my soul

2. BOOKS: they take me into other worlds

3. Old love letters for reasons apparent.

Hayjuds message is the one of the romantic and resides in the majority of us.
1. I love spring and new beginings. Always hoping I get it right the next time.

2. Snowfall clean and new

3. A place in my heart pure with love

And here are more beautiful romantics.

Sandy 310 pens:

1. Sitting by the ocean at sunset

2. Reading poetry

3. Sitting by the warm fire on a wintery night

All very relaxing…..I know it is boring but I love all 3 of those things.
Oh Sandy these are not boring. I have a bay window with wonderful white panes. It is something I yearned for since I was a romantic child reading books by a kerosene lamp up in the attic and listening to the rain beat upon the rafters. I now have that bay window and I think I would look rather ridiculous sitting in the window reading so I love to build a fire on a snowy day, curl on the couch with a good book nestled on a hand crocheted afghan that is placed across my lap and stare out that bay window. My sheltie is curled up beside me waiting for a gentle word or a scratch behind his ear and both he and I enjoy this sense of absolute serenity. I look out the window at the intricate design of the snowflakes and begin to daydream. Sometimes poetry crosses my mind. It actually was the third thing on my list of things I love and it just happens that today is that kind of day here in Alaska.

Lost Treasure who loves laughter sends her musings:

1. The way my cats Garfield and Nermal purr just because I talk to them.

2. The fun and learning, laughter and tears I have all my wonderful Net friends around the world who are always there at the flick of a switch/click of a key.

3. The way my heart does a double flip whenever my lover is around.

Hawaiian1 loves:
1. Listening to love songs

2. Sitting in my garden

3. Walking on the beach particularly at Sunrise or sunset.

Ellie37991 says:
1. The ocean at sunrise or sunset

3. Walking the beach totally lost in my own thoughts

3. Walking the beach with someone I love

I can give one reason for all three. It is like paradise.

Bunjin is Adelaide, South Australia:
1. Walking on a deserted beach - clears the mind and improves the soul

2. The trees - for each one is unique in the way they grow

3. The earth - for we would not be here if it were not here

Pastor in Florida:
1. Music

2. Watching the sunrise or sunset

3. Playing on the computer

KB:
1. Watching the Northern lights, always leaves me in awe of this universe of ours.

2. Seeing bald eagles soaring, always leaves me inspired

3. Hearing the water trip over the rocks in the river by my house up north, calms my "spirit"

The Aurora Borealis in all its ever moving splendor. It is one of the most spectacular things in this world. Sometimes they gracefully dance to and fro across the northern sky. Other times they send light reminding one of the fourth of July or dancing under a strobe light. The entire sky goes dark and a spectacular shower occurs directly over you head lighting the sky with unfamiliar brilliance. Occasionally they light the horizon with greens, yellows and sometimes they cast a brilliant glow of pink across the new fallen snow. The background appears magenta and the frosted trees are lined with pink. It is truly indescribable phenomena and a gift from Heaven to us who are fortunate to live beneath the northern skies.

My Grandson Sterling says:

1. My Grandma's dog, Shane, My dogs Holly and CJ and my cat, Bob. (Since the original writing of this page CJ has gone to Heaven).
1. Traveling to California with my grandma and grandpa

3. My Church

How wonderful that an eight year old would mention his church and also remember traveling with his Grandparents as one of his great loves! Not that we didn't earn it. We bravely took three grandsons on a camping spree that tried our patience at times (especially the constant potty stops which was their way of stopping the truck, I'm positive or perhaps they just wanted to tour the various gas stations along the way?) but the joy and wonderment as they explored the world around them was our reward

My friend Darryl who is also my God Son mentions the things that have changed his life:

1. My Christ

2. The Theotokis

3. The Holy Assumption Church

4. All of my icons

Why? Look at my past….now look at my future.

My cousin Wayne:

1. My dog, Buddy (Buddy has also gone to Heaven and now Wayne loves on the neighbors dog.)

2. Cook Inlet Sunsets

3. Having all of my work done

Yes, Wayne those Cook Inlet Sunsets are awesome. I have seen sunsets in many parts of the world and ours are the best. The main reason being that they last so long in the summer. Sunset turns into sunrise if we watch it long enough. The shimmering waters, the mountain ranges and our wonderful clouds all add to the special magic. My friend Edna says she thinks they are the nicest too. I must mention sunsets in Hawaii as some of the most georgeous in the world. One smells the plumeria which comes to you with the warm ocean breeze, while watching the palms swaying, listening to gentle sound of the surf, and beholds the brilliant colors across the Pacific. If you are from Alaska, you notice it is over so quickly and you tend to say, "That's it?" The White Sands Dessert in New Mexico has one of the most panoramic sunsets along with the wonderful southwestern hues. One can climb the white dunes and feel as if one is entering the gates of Heaven. Everything is white around you and the mountains are cast with purple. The clouds and sky are alive with brilliant pink. Nothing else is visible except the miles of white dunes and the brilliant sky. You are alone with all the beauty your eyes can behold. Sunset in the White Sands National Park is truly one of the loveliest and most peaceful sites I have ever seen.

He A Man Can Receive Nothing Except It Be Given Him From Heaven

John 3:27

Thought of the day:

What do you have to give others except what God has given to you?
