A hobby of mine is collecting Precious Moments. I have been collecting them since 1981. My sister, Sandra started my collection for me. We both worked together at Har-Nel Ceramics in Myrtle Beach. While working together, our boss, Nell Hobbs received a shipment of molds that were copies of some of the Precious Moments figurines. I fell in love with those adorable little faces. We only had them for a short time, because of copyright laws. (The mold company wasn't allowed to make them) But we had them long enough to make me want more of them. Until then, I had never really noticed them in the stores. But then, who had time to go shopping when you worked 6 days a week. We were transferred to Okinawa, Japan in June of 1981. For my birthday in September my collection began. Sandra sent me two of them. From that point on I have either bought them or had them given to me for gifts. I must have about 400 all together. I have a triple width curio that is full. I have ones that are retired or suspended, I also, have quite a few limited edition ones. In 1981 they began to put marks on the bottom of each piece. A different mark for each year. The older the mark, the more valuable, if you wanted to re-sell. I have a few that have no mark. I have been a member of the Precious Moments club since 1985 and the Birthday club since 1988. Because of space, now I mostly buy the members only, limited edition and holiday dated ones.

This is my collection...This curio is full, there is hardly room for another piece to fit in it...Please forgive the picture...Hope to have a better picture to add to here soon...One that it is taken on a straight angle...

Come back for updates!!!
