Squier near New Carlilse, Clark County, Ohio. 1850 George Winter
opened
a studio in Lafayette, Indiana. George Winter's son George had done
west
in 1859 to seek his fortune in the gold country of California. Charles,
his
brother, had also gone out and engaged in successful business in San
Francisco.
Annette, George Sr's daughter, with her husband C. Gordon Ball
went
out to California for a visit in 1869.
