1. Matthew J. WintersI am trying to find information on Herbert Winters. The following is the
information that I have been given so far. He was married to Julia
Minetta Wright in Oscoda County Michigan in the 1880s. He was born in

I am looking for the parents of William Winter who is my gggfthr. William apparently was born 11 Aug. 1823 somewhere in PA. and died 19 May 1896 in Miamisburg, Montgomery Co., OH.
He was married on 22 June 1843 in Reading, Berks Co., PA to Mary Catherine Peffley. She was born 12 Mar. 1826 in Bethel, Berks Co. PA. Mary's parents were Abraham Peffley and Catarina Fiesser.
They had three children in PA, supposedly in Bethel, Berks Co., however I am in possession of a birth certificate, of their second child, Henry (Heinrich) Winter, (no s) that indicates that much of this took place in Bethel Twp., Lebanon County,PA.
Their three children born in PA are as follows:
Elizabeth Winters, B 30 Mar 1846, D 15 Sept. 1846.
Henry (Heinrich) Winters, B 12 Feb 1848, D 3 Jan 1921
Eliza Winters, B 14 Mar 1851, D 18 Aug 1934
They then migrated to Connersville, Fayette Co. IN and sired:
Nathanial Winters, B 19 Apr 1854, D 28 Oct. 1934
William Winters, B 5 Nov 1856, D 15 Oct 1921
Emma Winters, B 8 Dec 1858, D 5 Jan 1859
David Winters, B23 Dec 1859, D 1946
Mary Winters, B 2 Sept 1862, D 6 May 1933, Provo UT
John W. Winters, B 14 Feb 1867, D 20 Feb 1901
Charles Winters, B 8 Nov 1869, D 16 Aug 1943It appears that William and Mary Catherine's children added the (s) to the surname Winter.
I certainly would love to find out who William's parents were. I am one of a lot of relatives who have been wondering for a long time.

I am seeking the parents of Jacynthia Winters. Jacynthia was born 5 Oct 1845 in Texas, died 8 Jan 1929 in Dale, Caldwell County, Texas. She married Francis Marion Scallorn on 23 May 1867 in Lavaca County, Texas. I suspect that Jacynthia is connected to the Texas Winters Family, but have not been able to find the connection. It is interesting to note that she was in the same locations as the family of Orin Lemon Winters, son of James Washington Winters, Sr. Orin Lemon
lived for many years in Lavaca County, Texas and founded the town of Moulton, Lavaca, Texas. He later removed to Caldwell County, Texas where he died.Any help in finding the parents of Jacynthia Winters will be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help
