This Indenture made this ninth day of June one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight between James Findley Senr. of the County and State foresaid of the one part James Findley, Junior the same place of the other part witnesseth that James Findley for the sum of thirty dollars to him in hand paid at the sealing, delivering of these presents, the receipt where of hereby acknowledged hath grant, bargain, sell and convey unto said James Findley, Jr., his heirs and assigns a certain piece of land containing forty acres out of Lot one hundred and sixty eight in 23 District 2 from beginning on stake Aaron Findleys corner thence north 40 poles to stake on said line thence east to stake on the old line thence south to Aaron Findley land thence with his line to beginning. To have and to hold the said Land unto him the said James Findley, his heirs and assigns together with all singular the right members and appurtenances there of to this same in any manner belonging to his and their own use, benefit and behoof in fee simple and I said James Findley, doth bind my heirs executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend the right title there of against the claim of all other persons whatsoever. This indendure made this the 9th day of February 1852 between Hezekiah Findley, Sarah Striplan, James E. Smith, Alexander Findley, Aaron Findley, Mary Braswell, of the County and State first above written and Moses Findley of the County of Gordon and said State and James L. Findley of the county of Lumpkin and state above written and John Findley of the State of South Carolina and Pickens District and Ellender Freeman of the state of South Carolina and Greenville District, all being legal heirs of James Findley deceased, of said county and state above of the one part and William Ireland of the place 1st above written of the other part, witnesseth that for an in consideration of the sum of one hundred fifty dollars in hand paid, the rep's whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained, sold and delivered unto the said Mr. Ireland, his heirs and assigns a certain parcel of land containing about forty seven acres, it be the north part of lot No. 168 in 23 Dist 2 seat of Cherokee County. Said line to run _______ ________ from each corner the NW & NE corner - _________ south to include the 47 acres - or all the part of said lot has not been deeded away by James Finley. To have and to hold with and singular the rights, members, appurtenances whatsoever of every manner belonging ______________________ thereunto in fee simple and the said Hezekiah Findley, Sarah Striplin, James E. Smith, Alx. Findley, Aaron Findley, Mary Braswell, J. L. Findley, Moses Findley, John Finley, Ellen Freeman shall and will warrant and forever defend their distributing share of said land unto the said Wm. Ireland, his heirs and assigns: and their heirs and assigns shall forever defend against persons lawfully claiming. In witness whereof they have hereunto set their hands, fixed their seals, the day and date above written.

This Indenture made the Fourteenth day of November, in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty between William Sloan of the County of Irwin, of the one part, and William Striblin, of the County of Cass, of the other part, Witnesseth: That the said William Sloan, for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty Dollars in hand paid, at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, convey and confirm unto the said William Striblin, his heirs and assigns. All that tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being in the Twenty-third Dist. Second Section, and in the County of Cass in said State, and know by number one hundred and thirty-eight (138,23,2) containing one hundred and sixty privileges and appurtenances thereof whatsoever, to the said premises belonging, or in anywise appertaining, with the remainder and remainders, reversion and reversions, rents, issues and profits thereof, to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of the said William Striblin his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, in fee simple. And the said William Sloan, his heirs, executors and administrators, doth warrant and will ever defend the premises hereby conveyed unto the said William Striblin, his heirs, executors and administrators, and of all and every other person whomsoever, by virtue of these presents. In witness whereof the said William Sloan hath hereunto set his hand affixed his seal the day and year above written.

This Indenture made and entered into the 27th of December in the year 1843 between Sarah Striplin of the place above written, of the one part, as Administratrix on the estate of William Striplin, deceased and James L. Finley, of the County of Cherokee, and said State of the other part, witnesseth, that for and in consideration of Two Hundred Dollars in hand paid at and before the sealing of these presents the recpt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold and delivered unto said James L. Finley, all that parcel of land containing three hundred and twenty acres, more or less, known and distinguished by lots No. 138 & 139 in the 23rd Dist. and Second Section of originally Cherokee but now Cass County. To have and to hold with all and singular the rights, members and appurtenances whatsoever in anywise belonging to the said bargained premises to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of him, the said James L. Finley, his heirs and assigns in fee simple, and the said Sary Striplin, Administratrix on the estate of Wm. Striplin, dec'd. shall and will warrant and forever defend the right and title against herself, her heirs and assigns, and all and every other person or persons lawfully claiming. Finley, of the place written, of the part and Sary Striplin, of the County Cass, State of.............. the other part, Witnesseth, That the said James L. Finley, for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred Dollars in hand paid at and before the signing and sealing of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold and delivered unto the said Sary Striplin, her heirs and assigns, all that tract or parcel of land known as lots No. 138 and 139 in the 23 District and Section of originally Cherokee, now Cass County, containing 320 acres, more or less. To have and to hold with all singular the rights, members, appurtenances whatsoever in any manner belonging or appertaining, there unto with the rents, issues and profits in fee simple, to only proper use, of the said Sary Striplin, her heirs and assigns and all and every other person or persons will warrant and forever defend against any and every person or persons lawfully claiming. Finly of the one part and Aaron Finly of the other part, both of the state and county first above _______ _________ that the said James L. Finly, his heirs and assigns for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid at and before the signing , sealing and arranging of these the _______ whereof is hereby acknowledged and hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell and delivers to the said Aaron Finly his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land lying and being situate in the 23 district of the 2nd section of the Cherokee purchase now in the County of Cherokee in the State. To have and to hold with all and singular the rights, members and appurtenances whatsoever in any possession belonging or appertaining thereto to the only proper use of____________________ ________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________ Section of the Cherokee purchased near Cherokee County beginning Aaron Finley corner thence north 4 poles to stake, South to Aaron Finly line thence with his line to beginning. To have and told with all and singular the rights, members and appurtenances whatsoever in any manner belonging or appertaining _________ appertaining _________ in any manner belonging as parts issues and profits to only proper use _________ and benefit and behoof of him Mr. Aaron Finley his heirs and assigns and the said James L. Finly his heirs and assigns shall own, will, warrant and forever defend the right and title ___________ the Aaron Finly, his heirs and assigns in fee simple and all and every other person or persons shall and will warrant and forever defind in witness whereof the said James L.
