- Gurbell Not very frequently found in maltese waters, Very good in taste and very popular when available in maltese restaurants. Size can vary between 8 and 16 inches. Can be caught all year round. |

Barracuda - Lizz Frequently encountered in maltese waters. Mainly silvery in colour with a darker upper part of body. Can grow up to 40 inches in length. |

tal-Bahar Very common in Malta but is difficult to see because normally found in weeds. Swims vertically. Size between 4.5 and 6 inches. Greenish or Browish Green in colour. |
