Tatted Bookmark
I got the idea for the pattern in an interesting way. When my grandmother died I inherited her tatting patterns. Most of them were cut from old magazines and put into envelopes. One of them particularly intrigued me, a picture of this insertion. It was just a snippet, with no instructions. I finally managed to reproduce the pattern to my satisfaction, but wasn't able to find a way to use it. I thought it would be a nice bookmark, but felt it was too narrow. I decided to double up the insertion to make it wider. After graphing it out, I tried it in two colors. I think the two colors are interesting because the rings and chains are both colors, not alternating as usual. Here's the pattern. Enjoy!
