The Tómasson Family Tree

Welcome to the Descendents of Helgi and Margret Tómasson

I hope you will enjoy our family tree. This page is dedicated to the descendants of Helgi and Margret Tómasson. Helgi and Margret Tómasson emigrated from Iceland in about 1876, and were one of the first settlers on Hecla Island in Manitoba. Mikley (Magnificent Island) as it was known to the first settlers from Iceland, is the second largest island on Lake Winnipeg, approximately 19 miles long and six miles wide where it is widest. The first Icelandic Settlers called themselves Mykleyingar.

The family tree below is the best I have been able to do so far with the information I have. Please e-mail me by clicking the icon below if you have any further information or corrections which I can use to update the family tree.

Sit back with a cup of coffee and enjoy!
