JUDGEMENT
A body once young and pure
Absorbs time as it matures
The exterior then dulls with age
And scratches and dings become hard to gage
The dimples and wrinkles begin to form
The sleekness is lost as the body is worn
The imperfections reveal a past
Full of memories that are meant to last
But the vision before us is deceiving
It's the interior we should find more appealing
The exterior serves only as a shell
Masking the window to the soul that it dwells
So listen carefully to the words I speak
Because it reigns true for the strong and the weak
If you judge based on what you see or hear
You tend to ignore what's really there
So open your mind and your heart
Be less inclined to judge from the start
For it matters not what the outside beholds
But what time has developed inside the mold
And if you're blinded by a tattered exterior
Unable to focus on the beautiful interior
Think about what you are willing to dismiss
Are you sure that is something you really want to miss?
