The band formed in 1987 and their first album was released in 1989.

They had two singles from this self titled debut album
Teas'n, Pleas'n and Scared.

The line up was
Danny Aaron-Guitar
Scott Dalhover-Guitar
Mark Geary-Drums
Jason McMaster-Vocals
Mike Watson-Bass

In 1989 the band came out with their second album
Hellacious Acres. This album had two singles Gimme no lip and Line Em' Up.

The band was then the opening act for the Operation Rock and Roll tour. They toured with Alice Cooper, Judas Priest,
Motorhead, and Metal Church.
(Others that they have toured with are the Cult)

In 1994 DMZ Records picked up the band and the album Pissed was released. By this time Danny Aaron had left the band and they had a new guitarist Paul Lidel.

In 1995 the band put out its final album:
the r'tists formally known as dangerous toys. They had now lost their original bass player Mike Watson and Jason McMaster now played bass for the band.

In 1999 the band released a live album Vitamins and Crashelment.

Even though looks of a new Dangerous Toys album are not good, Jason McMaster and Paul Lidel  have joined again to form another band called Broken Teeth.  They have a self titled album put out by Peris Records.

On the side Jason McMaster has been in a Kiss cover band called SSIK for the last six years. This band is frequently voted in the top five coverbands of the Austin area. Also Jason McMaster is in a band called Godzill Motor Company(GMC) which is described to be grungy, hard rock.
