YU-CHUNG LO, the recently arrived Taipei Economic & Cultural
Office's director general, and wife Yee-wen Chen filled a Vancouver
Convention & Exhibition Centre ballroom with expatriate Taiwanese
celebrating the Republic of China's national day Thursday.
The couple were previously posted in Houston, Texas, a native of which
state recently placed citizens of Iraq under the sort of threat Taiwanese
have faced for years from another rising superpower.
