This was the party I threw for my son's 8th birthday.
We had 11 8-year-old boys there!
Games-
Hunt for Wild Pokemon
Buy a couple of packs of Pokemon cards, and hide them around the house or yard.
Let the kids hunt for the cards, then they can battle them or trade.
Pokeball Toss
Buy some ping-pong or golf balls. Paint to resemble a pokeball. Set out boxes
or baskets as targets for the kids to toss them into.
Pokemon Bingo
I made my own bingo cards for this game. I bought some Pokemon stickers to use, but you
could just write the names of them too. Make sure all cards are different so
two kids don't win at the same time!

Pokemon Trivia
I found a cute trivia book for a couple of dollars to use for this game, but you
could easily make up your own questions.

Pikachu pinata instructions
Food-
Pokeball Pizzas
Toast english muffin halves. Spread with pizza sauce. Cover half with mozzarella
cheese, and add a black olive in the middle. Bake at 350 until cheese is melted.
Super Potion
Make up your favorite punch. Serve in little plastic bottles and call it super
potion. If you wanted, you could make up little labels on your computer.
Cake-
Make a pokeball cake! Bake a cake in a large glass or metal bowl. It will take longer than usual, test for doneness with a wooden skewer. Cool. Frost half red, half white, whith a band across the middle, and a little circle in the middle of that. |
