To look into the eyes of a dragon

See the anger, the fury, the love

Look into the eyes of a dragon

A dragon’s eyes are cold outside

But when you look within

Though faint at first, there is kindness and care

Shut away by a life of sin

The spikes and hide are to protect

An image, from any who would suspect

This dragon of having a heart

But you catch his gray eyes glancing about

And in your mind there is no doubt

This dragon is a work of art

He breathes fire when you try to speak

His every action made to frighten the weak

And yet you cannot turn away

Something about this dragon is so beautiful and grim

And if you’re not in love with him

Why do you study him so each day?

Though he frightens you, you are drawn to him

This cold, untamable dragon

With his lazy grin and his blue-gray eyes

His clothes as black as Satan

Are you happy, dragon?

I’m in love with you now

I wonder if you’ve plotted this

For all that crosses my mind is, how?

But how it happened doesn’t matter, dragon

I need to be with you

Come and see me, dragon, please--

There isn’t time to play the fool

There is no use in running, dragon

No need to try and hide

For I know you, dragon

And I would give eternity to look into your eyes.
 
 
 

A/N: Well, I sorta like it. It’s horrible, but I do sorta like it. I tried writing a PMS fic-- Lucius/Lily, Goo Goo Dolls
songfic. And all of the sudden I came up with the first stanza and I was running for a pencil and paper. Review! Peace!
