The following literature will help you with using geometers sketchpad.

 

A neat trick when working with geometers sketchpad is to right click on the sketch screen.  It will give you a list of commands to choose from.

    1. Line style- this can determine the thickness and style for your line.

    2. Color- this allows you to change the color of the material you are working with (if you want        something a different color you must highlight it first).

    3. Text style- this allows you to change the size of your text or any desired formatting tools.

    4. Text font- this allows you to change your font.

    5. Display- this you to change the labels increase the labels including the font and formatting tools. 

    6. Construct- this allows you to (when highlighted) construct a midpoint or a point on the sketch.

    7. Translate- this allows you to move the sketch (translate) or mark it for future mobility.

    8. Measure- this allows you to use a calculator with many properties such as pi and sin 

    9. Graph- this allow you to to make a grid, plot points, make lines, and figure slope

    On the top menu bar you will find these functions

    1. File- this allows you to make a new sketch or script, save, close print, or exit

                Script allows you to record what you are doing and then play it back for you. To do this you open the script, push record, do what you want to do, and then hit stop. To play it back you push play.

    2. Edit- this allows you to undo/delete a point, redo, cut, copy, paste, clear, select all, or insert an object.

    3. Display- this allows you to pick line style and color, text style and font, hide and show objects, label points, or your preferences for the page.

    4. Construct- this allows you to make a point on an object, at an intersection, or make a midpoint. It also allows you to make a segment connecting two highlighted points, create a perpendicular segment to a highlighted segment, a parallel line to a highlighted segment, or an angle bisector to a highlighted angle.
