Equipment (per rose)
- 2 serviettes (different colours)
- 1 freezer bag tie
- 1 drinking straw
- Green crepe paper or florists tape (optional)
- Glue
- Wool to bind
- Scissors
Instructions
- Open both serviettes
- Place one on top of the other on a flat surface.
- Pleat serviettes across width, approx. 1.25cm (½") folds
- Fix centre with a bag tie
- Lift each individual ply of serviette and bunch up to form a flower
- Attach a straw for stem, binding to flower with wool and tie securely.
- Stem may be bound with a 0.65cm-wide (¼") strip of green crepe paper or florist's tape.
Glue strip to base of flower and bind, stretching crepe paper as you go.
Cut crepe paper when end of straw is reached and fix end with a dab of glue.
