| SOPER-MITCHELL Looking for the family of Caroline Soper Mitchell born in Hants Harbour in 1800's and probably passed away after 1920. She had a daughter Jane Ann, one Sarah and son James Agustus I believe. If you can supply any info I'd appreciate it. Jane Ann was my grandmother who moved to NS and was married here. | CRITCH Looking for information on Elias Critch who was born in Hants Harbour. He married Mary Jane Hopkins on June 9 1869. She was born on November 1 1849, Hants Harbour and died July 15, 1921 in Rockland, Maine USA. They had a child Edgar William Critch who moved to Rockland, Maine and raised a family there. | SHORT SHORT, Samuel -- Help! I am lost among the many Samuel Shorts of Hants Harbour. My ancestor (ggrandfather) was Samuel Short born in Hants Harbour in August, 1844. (Another Samuel Short was born in July of the same year). My Samuel relocated to Deep Bight. Deep Bight Census for 1921 list him, as well as a James Short b. Aug. 1854 (possibly a cousin or brother), and a Samuel J. Short b. Aug. 1882. I have accounted for all 10 of my Samuel's descendants, except for one daughter Alice Short who may have married a man from Winterton. | PELLEY Hi, my great grandfather is Barrzillai Pelley born July 1871 in HHbr. He was adopted by my G.G.Grandfather Alfred SKIPPER Pelley born 1831 in HHbr. Barrzillai's birth father is a Critch (I'm told) and his birth mother (I'm told) is Elizabeth Short. Skipper Pelley married Elizabeth Green or Janes (not sure which one) born 1829. in HHbr. Skipper didn't adopt Barrzillai until he was in his 50ies and Barrzillai was about 5yrs old. Up until Barrzillai was five, he lived with the Ash family of Custard Head about 3-5 miles ouside of HHbr.
