Notes:
Died within days of her sister, Mary Gladys Puckett.  According to her cousin, Gerald Doggett, both were deaf and mute because of childhood malaria, and were in a nursing home in Commerce, GA when they died.  None of the three sisters ever married.

Miss Jessie Lou Puckett, 91, of Commerce, died Saturday, April 21, 2001.  A native of Oconee County, Miss Puckett had lived most of her life in Athens.  She was the daughter of the late James and Martha Doggett Puckett.  Miss Puckett was a homemaker and was of the Baptist denomination.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22, in the Bethabara Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. Vaughn Howington officiating.  Survivors include one sister, Mary Gladys Puckett, Commerce; one niece, Martha Roberts, Gainesville; and one nephew, Jimmy Puckett, Commerce.
Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens, was in charge of arrangements.
