1497 A.D. | Red bell tent, apex obscured by border, roof and walls are decorated with gold and pearls, gold valance decorated with rows of pearls, some arranged in the form of a cross, the valance is also furnished with a green fringe, a very thick gold pole is decorated with gold strapping and studs, the interior is also golden in colour, above the roof there are four ropes which I suspect come from the apex and are apex guy ropes, no other ropes or pegs are visible. | The Isabella Breviary, British Library, Additional MS 18851.
