Introduction to the Sankeertana
The Sankeertana is one of the 32,000 sung by Sri Annamacharya in praise of Lord Venkateswara.  It is a sringara keerthana which describes the charming beauty of Sri Venkateswara along with Alarmel Manga.  The delight of the keerthana is in its plain presentation with a deeper visualisation of the Duo.

Meaning
When the Lord walks along, it seems as if all the kalas (arts) were born from his face!
When the camphor-powder is showered on the body of the Lord of the Universe while He is strolling,  the powder falls four sides on the ground gracefully.  When Goddess Lakshmi sits in his lap (just like Goddess Lakshmi sitting on the thigh of Lord Narasimha), the whole universe gets illuminated with the moonlight....

Additional Resources
The Sankeertana is also available as an MS Word document in Telugu script here
(Typewritten in TL-Hemalatha Font)

This Sankeertana was melodiously sung by M.S. Subbalakshmi in Balaji Pancharatna Mala. The accompanying art and artists of Mridangam, Ghatam, Violin, etc. are another plus to the song that has enhaced its melodiousness ! A must for all Carnatic Music lovers.  [Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam released a set of five Cassettes to popularise Sri Annamacharya Keertanas - Available at all TTD Publication Sales Counters and HMV Cassette Centres all over India - Also available in CDs].
