Spring Break Trip to Maui
March, 2000

With the compliments of Delta Airlines (frequent flyer tickets) and the persistance of Ann to get them, we wisked away to the island of Maui, known for its tropical gods, tourists, and sun.  There we stayed in two very different locations.  Kapalua, 10 miles north of the city of Lahina, and Hana, in the remote northwest of Maui.

Not exactly what you would call "roughing it," our condo at the Ridge was spacious,  comfortable, and even economical.

Kapalua Bay with its clear blue water, coral bottom, and thousands of colorful fish and underwater life provided us with many hours of relaxing snorkeling.  A half day boat trip to Molokini Crater gave us the chance to swim with the giant sea turtles.

At night we dined in the little fish restaurants of Lahina, an antique fishing village on Maui's west coast.
