Hocking College Computer Science Club Constitution


ARTICLE I: Name of Organization
The name of the organization herein established shall be known as the Hocking College Computer Science Club.
ARTICLE II: Purpose
The HC Computer Science Club is established for the following purposes:

A. To expose club members to professional related activities (i.e. field trips, guest speakers, workshops).

B. To serve as a liaison between club members, and faculty/administation.
ARTICLE III: Requirements for membership

Memebers must meet the following requirements:

A. Must be a HC student carring at least six (6) credit hours.

B. Must be in good standing with the college. 1. Conduct must be in accordance with the HC code of conduct.
ARTICLE IV: Selection

Anyone interested and meeting the above reqirements must participate in some form (work, attend meetings or bring club project material) may join the HC computer Science Club. Individuals must sign the roster.
ARTICLE V: Election of officers

A. Each officer of the HC Computer Science Club shall be a member of the HC College Computer Science Club and be elected by the majority of members.

B. Election of officers will be held once a year on or before the second Monday in October.

C. First year members may vote only on the offices of First-year Vice President, secretary, Treasurer, First-Year Reprsentatnive, assistant Treasurer, and assistant secretary. Second year members may vote only on the offices of president, vice prisident, secretary and treasurer.

D. Returning first-year vice president, assistant treasurer, and secretary respectively until new are elected.

E. If there are vacant officer postitions the Board or advisors may assign temporary positions until an election can be held.
ARICLE VI: Officers and Advisorship of the Computer Science Club

A. The officers shall be prisident, vice president, First-year vice prisident, secretary, treasuere, first-year representative, Assistant secretary, and Assitant Treasurer.

B. Officers shall be xollectively referred to as the Executive Board. C. Two college computer science instructor/advisors shall be responsible for approving club activities, participation in fiscal and policy decisions, and advising the Executive Boards concerning input to the college administration concerning club functions. D. The Executive Board will attend all scheduled meetings. If an officer connot attend a scheduled meeting, the absence must be excused by the president, vice president, or advisors. Reasonable uncontrollable emergencies are acceptable excuses.
ARTICLE VII: Duties and succession of officers

A. The president shall:

1. Be a second year computer science student

2. Preside over all meetings of the club

3. Be responsible for developing meeting agendas. dates and developing the growth of the club.

4. Established committees as needed.
