A real artist for me is one who is pure to his art and to his followers, with no compromises and no limitations to his own way of expression his message. Taylor Mac belongs to a very rare group of unique talents, when you look at him you get mesmerized by the depth of his very smart and well put together look, and when you think that you could really define the intensity of his mind, he is already a step ahead. His performance art, playwrighting and his acting combined expose us to his fascination about the natural course of human conditions, ideas, fears, misery and I would like to say also love. I am a great admirer of artists that surprise us with the reality about ourselves that we sometimes choose not to see or accept, and Taylor does it so well because for him it is very important to make a difference by educating us about our individuality diversity. The Face of Liberalism, Cardiac Arrest or Venus on a Half-Clam, Live Patriot Acts: Patriots Gone Wiiiild!, The Young Ladies Of...are "just" few examples of superb performance acts that Taylor Mac have presented us in New York City.
