~ NANCY NEWS ~

Summer 2003 Nancy-fan MPHolt writes:
There will be two showings of LAUGHTER at MOMA's Grammery Theatre on Sunday July 13 at 6:15 and on Thursday July 17 at 2pm. This is one of Nancy Carroll's best, and those living in the NY area shouldn't miss this rare opportunity to see it. Whether it's "the first screwball comedy" or not, it's delightful and you won't ever forget that thoughtful look on Carroll's face at the very end.

Also, if you'll be in the New York City/Long Island area this Summer/Fall, be sure to visit the Flapper page for information on a few special limited engagement exhibits in the area.

I don't know how it happened, but something I had always thought was the impossible has become reality. For me it is a dream come true and I cannot contain my delight any longer. FOLLOW THRU, Nancy's only full color feature has made its appearance in the public domain. I've seen this treasure advertised on collector's swap lists, and I've also seen it up for auction at eBay. What happy news to know that this gem can finally be had! It is an absolute must-have for every Nancy Carroll fan! Look for my review of it later this month.

January 2001

The year 2000 was good to Nancy Carroll. Nearly a century after her birth she was the recipient of quite a bit of attention. After appearing on the cover of the October 2000 issue of FILMS OF THE GOLDEN AGE and honored as the feature article ( see story below) she again received mention in a photospread on page 46 of the December 2000 issue of CLASSIC IMAGES. Six, several rarely seen photos of Nancy appeared courtesy of David Cheirichetti. The attention given to Nancy in 2000 made all of her long~time fans quite pleased and I am certain it helped to gain her a host of new fans as well.

More exciting news!

CLASSIC IMAGES has chosen Nancy as the cover of its January 2001 issue. What a way to begin a new century!!
