The character of Todd Landers came from a broken home, and lived with his aunt(?) and younger sister. Eventually he got his girlfriend pregnant, and she decided to have an abortion. He ran to the clinic to stop her but was run down by a van. He lived just long enough to discover that she hadn't been able to go through with the termination, and then in true soap fashion, died. In even truer soap fashion, he apparently came back to her, as a vision.
