Now that I think of it, Chuck could be a dead ringer for Dolph Lundgren in an alternate universe or something.
But, favorite Swedes aside, Chuck's gotta long and varied career of his own that is worth mentioning.
I don't know all the details, but he did start off as an NBA basketball player who made it into movies/tv shows, his principal claim to fame being, The Rifleman tv series.
After that he just sort of doled around in any one of numerous pics/tv appearances. Soon however, he played up his natural gift for being creepy, by starring in horror films, my favorite characters being the psycho Mr. Slausen in Tourist Trap and as the werewolf Skorzeny pursued by Eric Cord in the now-defunct series WEREWOLF that appeared on the FOX network in its infancy.
Chuck had a real gift at being creepy, he had a great voice and an unholy glitter in his eyes that managed to keep you uncomfortable no matter how sane he was trying to be. So naturally he would have done perfectly as a villan in a JC film. Don't know how or where, but you I can't imagine anyone today who might have the kind of prescence Chuck was able to portray.
But then again, it's not to be. It's been a few years now that Chuck has passed on, but I still think he would've been an absolute blast in a JC flick fer sure.
