Hannah Storm joined the NBC Sports team in May 1992, and made her on-air debut during the network's coverage of the All England Tennis Championships from Wimbledon that year. During NBC's coverage of both the Barcelona Olympics in 1992 and the Atlanta Olympics in 1996, she paired with Jim Lampley to co-host the 90-minute late-night Olympic show. She was also seen on NBC's weekend afternoon Olympic coverage in Barcelona, serving as one of the rotating studio hosts. In September of 1992, she was named one of the co-hosts of "Notre Dame Saturday," NBC's college football pre-game show and continues to host Notre Dame telecast halftimes from the New York studio. She was the sideline reporter on NBC's coverage of the 1993 Mobil Cotton Bowl and hosted "Championship Saturday," NBC's studio coverage of the 1994 New Year's Day bowl games. For the 1994 season, Storm was named the primary sideline reporter for NBC Sports' coverage of the NFL. Storm, who substituted for Bob Costas from time-to-time as the host of "NBA Showtime," officially earned the full-time position when Costas moved to the broadcast booth for play-by-play duties at the start of the 1997-98 season. Up to that point, she had served as a courtside reporter during NBC's coverage of the NBA, during the regular-season, All-Star Game, playoffs and Finals. Storm was also a reporter for the 1994 Major League All-Star Game, the studio host during NBC's 1995 coverage of "Baseball Night in America," and the pre-game host on NBC's coverage of the 1995 World Series. Storm was NBC's pre-game host for the 1996 Major League Baseball All-Star Game and 1997 World Series. Additionally, she hosted 30-minute post-game shows for the 1997 and 1998 NBA Finals and 1997 World Series on CNBC. She also served as the primary play-by-play voice for coverage of the inaugural season of the Women's National Basketball Association in 1997. Professional Background: Storm has earned significant status through a wealth of television experience. She came to NBC after three years at the Cable News Network (CNN), where she was the anchor of "CNN Sports Tonight." Her duties included hosting the nightly program and both "CNN Sports Saturday" and "CNN Sports Sunday" on weekends. She also had a taste of Olympic programming at CNN, having anchored the Sunday-night half-hour program "The Games of '92," and having served as co-host for Turner Broadcasting's telecast of the 1990 Goodwill Games in Seattle. Prior to her CNN position, Storm worked for one year (March 1988-March 1989) as a weekend anchor and sports reporter for WPCQ-TV in Charlotte, N.C. Previously, Storm handled a variety of anchor, reporter and studio host assignments, working in Houston for KTXH-TV, "The Robert Reid Show," Home Sports Entertainment, KNCN-FM in Corpus Christi, Texas, and WNDU-TV in South Bend, Ind. She hosted "Reach for the Gold," a Lifetime television special program on the Women's Dream Team and its year-long preparation for the 1996 Olympics and gold medal quest.
