The Red Dragon Thunderzord was given to the Red Ranger by Zordon because the Tyrannosaurus would not be powerful enough against the Evil Lord Zedd. The Red Dragon Thunderzord was created from the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord rather than creating an entirely new Zord. In Dragon mode it could shoot fire from its mouth. It could morph to warrior mode in which it used a staff to destroy monsters. The Red Dragon held all the other Zords together when they formed the Thunder Megazord. This Zord was originally piloted by Jason and later by Rocky. It was destroyed by Rito Revolto and an army of monsters.
