Merrick fought the evil Orgs 3000 years ago along side 5 other ancient warriors. That is until he used the Wolf Mask to defeat Master Org which ultimately transformed him into the evil Zen-Aku. After being released from his imprisoned tomb, the Wild Force Power Rangers were eventually able to break the curse of the Wolf Mask. Zen-Aku was transformed back into Merrick, who felt horrible about the things he had done. Trying to make up for his actions, Merrick went alone to try to take out Master Org. Although things didn't go according to plan and a large battle insued. During this battle the Wolf, Hammerhead Shark, and Alligator gave Merrick the Lunar Caller, giving him the Power to Morph into the Lunar Wolf Ranger. Merrick stays distant from the rest of the Wild Force team, only going into battle when it's necessary. He uses his Lunar Cue in battle, and can combine his three Zords to form the Predazord. His Wolf Zord can also Morph into a Savage Cycle for the Lunar Wolf Ranger.
