Mr. McCormack has appeared CBC-TV productions of Hanging' In, Twelfth Night, The Boys from Syracuse and Much Ado About Nothing.
This past winter, Mr. McCormack played James Hennessey in the Canadian premier of Biloxi Blues at Citadel Theatre in Edmonton and the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto. His other credits include such roles as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet (Skylight Theatre, Ontario); Gaveston in Edward II (Equity Showcase Theatre, Toronto); and Macbeth in The Black Bonspiel of Wullie MacCrimmon (Press Theatre, St. Catherines). Mr. McCormack is a past recipient of a Stratford Gutherie Award and a Chalmers Award (as most promising newcomer to the Festival).

His other credits include Antigone (Theatre Plus) and One Big Break (O'Neill's Dinner Theatre). This past winter, he played Macbeth in The Black Bonspiel of Wullie MacCrimmon (Press Theatre, St. Catherines) and Gaveston in Edward II (Equity Showcase, Toronto) and also guest-starred in an episode of Hanging' In, (CBC).
In 1985 he was recipient of the Jean A Chalmers Award.

After completing the Festival's U.S. Tour, during which he appeard in both King Lear and Twelfth Night, Eric McCormack returns to Stratford for his second season playing the First Lord in Cymbeline, the Tailor's Apprentice in The Boys from Syracuse, and a Gentleman in Pericles. His other Festival credits include appearances in The Government Inspector, Measure for Measure (as a transvestite) and two Festival workshops, This Fair Child and American Buffalo.
