Downtown Disney West Side

--Disney Quest--

Disney confirmed that the hugewavy-topped building at Downtown Disney will house the first Disney Quest.

"This is a major breakthrough for our company in terms of making the west side (the current Downtown Disney expansion) a family destination," said Al Weiss, president of Walt Disney World."It's a great complement to what we have to offer."

Although the two- to-three-hour attraction includes all the basics of an arcade, Art Levitt, president of Burbank, Calif.-based Disney Regional Entertainment, called it ''the next level'' in high-tech entertainment.

At Cyperspace Mountain, visitors will use a computer to design a roller coaster that can defy gravity, dip, loop and zip through space or underwater. The "engineer" and a buddy then will step into a 360-degree, full-motion simulator and give the ride a whirl.

"The Magic Mirror" will feature an electronic make-over during which visitors can alter their image with big hair, blue ears or a thinner physique -- and print out the results.

The five-story,100,000-square-foot facility at Downtown Disney West Side immerses guests of all ages in a world of adventure combining the Disney experience with the most involving interactive technology.
