To Rose, From Jack
I know that you miss me
I know that you think of me
I know you wake up praying that I'm there
But I'm not, for I can't be.

I'm still with you every moment
From sunrise to sunset
I am beside you
I always have been.

I long to be with you
But I cannot be
Yet I will always walk beside you
I will be present in thought.

Do not weep for me
For your heart will go on
And as it goes on,
So does my soul.

So please go on
I will always be here

And I will wait for you
You can trust in that.

Live on for me
Do the things we said we'd do
I'll be next to you, just like I said
Present again in thought.

It won't be long
For love is an eternity
As long as I am in your heart,
I will never die.

When you meet your husband,
May he take the vows in my place
I will watch you as joy fills my heart
Know this, and trust it.

If at any moment you need me
Call me and I will come
Though you will not see me
I will be there to comfort you.

So go on for me
And I will see you again
It will be glorious
For I have never stopped loving you.

The Rose Of The Titanic
A Rose by any other name
Would still look as beautiful and sweet
But without Jack to call her name
Her life shall never be complete

The elegance and fairness in her face
Took my very breath away
If only she could know their fate
lay in the dark deep

His exquisite qualities
Unchanged by the severeness of time
His undying love for her burns with no lies
For her, he would die trying

They meet through intent of suicide
What a deranged way to find love
But their fondness for each other could not be denied
Even by the watchmen sitting atop and above

An egotistical maniac through clouded eyes did not see
The hate he had built in her heart
He would rather be deceived
Rather discard light, choosing dark

The icy water moved through steel like knives
the fate of many sealed in carelessness
The cost of hundreds of lives
Was less than a top decks bareness

The smell of money and diamonds
Assaulting the nostrils of the boat guards
The feel of money and diamonds
Keeping them from sending women and children forward

The melancholy wail
Of a sole violin played on
The cries of people made a trail
To where the dead had gone

If you jump, I jump
A solemn promise made so long ago
Still applied to the love they fleetingly had
With each other they could survive the watery below

Existing on only a door
She sang thorough the star filled night
The coldness she could ignore
As long as she could focus on him, her light

I'll never let go
A swear they made to each other
Even through a ships undertow
Their love kept them together

He's Rose's Jack, and she's Jack's Rose
Both drinking steadily from love's potion
Other souls cling and go
But these two are the Heart of the Ocean

A Titanic Poem
Such a magnificent ship the passengers saw.
She was perfect and unsinkable, even by God.
Her beauty was unmatched,
Her strength and speed ...unbelievable.
The maiden voyage it was on this grand ship.
Sure to make history and to live a long life,
It was called the ship of dreams, and it truly was.
The passengers were of all different classes.
Third on the bottom and first on the top.
it had everything from a gym to grand state rooms,
But there was one thing they lacked.
There were lifeboats for half, yes, but still not enough.
But why did it matter?
"Titanic cannot sink" was the thought.
Then late one night the water was calm.
Clear and calm and easy to see.
But what about the bergs?
There were no waves to break at the base.
The binoculars were lost
"Anything big enough to do any damage we will see with bare eyes"
As the minutes passed the officers grew cold
Their minds not completely on their work as should be.
The officer looks up and squints his eyes.
"Iceberg right ahead!!" was the cry
The crew was informed
"hard to starboard" the order
It looked as if it would miss
Hope for the best.
A shudder was felt
"Titanic" had hit
She scraped the bottom of the iceberg along her right side.
Water rushed in as the water tight doors were shut.
The passengers were curious but not worried.
After all " This ship cannot sink"
"Titanic WILL sink no matter what I do."
We have an hour at least and two at most.
"Women and children first" the call
Unsaid the call was first class first.
Boats built for seventy left with no more than twenty.
People jumped off, men jumped to the boats.
One even dressed as a women.
And all watched as a selfish man,
Mr. J. Bruce Ismay,
jumped into a lifeboat to save his hide.
Third class passengers were few to be seen.
They were locked up downstairs,
For their lives were not as valuable as those in first class.
The boats were now gone, all less than half full.
They will come back once the ship is down.
The ship started to tilt the end in the air
People began sliding and falling.
They watched from the tiny lifeboats in disbelief.
"This ship was too grand,
How could Titanic sink?"
The ship then made its final plunge into the Atlantic.
For a moment, all was silent, then the screams began.
The water was so cold,
But those in it could do nothing but wait.
Now that the suction was gone,
Would the boats come back?
One came back and picked up a few.
But, it was much much too late.
So many had died, frozen from the cold.
They waited and waited,
For what else could they do?
The Carpathia was a welcome sight. A way home, and an exit from the fright.
When the "Titanic" had set sail,
There were 2200 aboard.
There were lifeboats for 1100, enough for half.
Then why, when the Carpathia arrived,
Were there only 700 in the lifeboats?
Because on the day we lost "Titanic,"
We also lost 1500 souls.

Another Titanic Poem
Titanic was the greatest ship,
They thought She'd never go down.
Until one night, they were proved wrong,
When Her emergency flares were shown.
The ship hit a huge iceberg
that was hard to see.
The crew tried to get out of the way,
But they didn't, unfortunately.
The people fled all over the place,
Making it very crowded and loud.
People went off in lifeboats
Hoping they would be found.
Hundreds of people died that night.
They were all in a panic.
The ship went down in 2-3 hours,
That legendary ship, Titanic.

Titanic - (Up she rises)
In the darkness of night
Up she rises
Her glowing lights silhouetting
Her against the black
Atlantic night

The screams flow
And up she rises

The women weep
And up she rises

The people pray
And up she rises

A crack sounds
And up she rises

The bow falls
And up she rises

She, the stern,
Rises til' she can't
Rise anymore

As she stands
In a ghostly silence
Thousands plunge
To their death

Then down,
Down,
Down she falls
Plunging to her death

Dawn finds the
Sea of bodies silent
In the deathly grip
Of the cold
