If you earn below federal poverty level, you qualify to have your pets altered for free in some counties. Call your local animal control to inquire.
Most kittens are supplied to U.S. households by stray and feral cats. Millions are being killed for lack of homes. Help stop the killing by spaying a stray!
Free trap-neuter-return for stray or feral cats:
Free spay/neuter of stray/feral cats only (traps loaned as well): you trap them, bring them in for surgery and then release them when they have recuperated. A humane alternative to euthanasizing feral (wild) cats. Neutered cats fight less, contract less diesease, and don't add to overpopulation. Cats will be vaccinated for rabies and FVRCP, and they do random testing for Felv/FIV (cat will be euthanized if positive to protect other cats and to prevent the cat from suffering). They'll have their ear notched as well during the procedure so that when they are released others will know they are fixed already.
