This page used to be about my travels in my old motorhome
But times change. . .and somehow things got very different for me,
I decided to pack up my life and GO WEST!
WHY? WELL, FOR THE LOVE OF ADVENTURE OF COURSE!!
Don't get me wrong. . .I didn't come West in a covered wagon,
Nor did I drive out here in my old motorhome. . .
I got myself and my dog to the airport in Boston, MA and we hopped a plane and flew out to our new home!

Maybe that doesn't sound too adventureous to you, but for someone who is a bit skeptical (heh heh, that puts it mildly, huh?) of getting off the ground in one of those winged silver birds, it was a big step!
NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT I HAD NO REAL LOGICAL REASON FOR CHOOSING TO COME HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!
Well, that isn't 100% true. . .I had a reason. I wanted to start my life over again someplace where I could look up into the sky during the day and see the sun, and during the night gaze up into the stars (which I truly believe don't ever come to New England!)
WOULD IT SOUND MORE BELIEVABLE IF I TOLD YOU I MET A CRAZY GUY FROM CALIFORNIA, FELL MADLY IN LOVE, AND DECIDED I WANTED TO LIVE CLOSER TO HIM?
WELL, IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE THAT ONE I SIMPLY GIVE UP TRYING TO EXPLAIN WHY I CAME OUT HERE. . .AND COULD I INTEREST YOU IN SOME NICE OCEANFRONT PROPERTY IN ARIZONA???
CHALK IT UP TO THE LOVE OF ADVENTURE!!!

 

 

 

 

 

  • So, I packed up my old life into zillions of boxes,

  • Sent them out ahead with a moving company,

  • Got rid of the "excess baggage" I'd been carrying around for years,

  • Found a place to live using my computer to locate some oceanfront property in Arizona, then had a friend check out the details for me, 
  • Bought a new van which HAD to be red (Located by surfing on my computer),
  • Packed up my favorite show dog . . .And we hopped that plane to our new home!

 

 

NOW, DON'T GET ME WRONG HERE. . .

 

I haven't given up showing dogs, nor have I given up much of anything except a dull life where I had no room to laugh anymore!!

So, if you happen to be driving out in the southwest and see tiny 5 foot tall blonde driving around in her red hot Ford Windstar with a Doberman in the back, it might just be me on my way to the next dog show!!

 

DON'T LAUGH.....THIS IS LIFE THE WAY IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE LIVED!!!



 

 

 



But, when the weekends over, you can bet I roar back to my little sandpile in the desert singing....

HONEY I'M HOME! And I had a hard day,
pour me a cold one and oh by the way...
Rub my feet, gimme something to eat
Fix me up my favorite treat
Honey, I'm back, my head's killing me
I need to relax and watch TV
Get off the phone-give the dog a bone
Hey! Hey! Hey!
HONEY I'M HOME!

Course, the only Honey here now is my dog!

And me...We have another Honey but thats another totally different story that you can read about on some of the other pages of my site!!

Peek really close and you might even find the crazy guy from California hanging around!
