Ah, Death. One of the only sure things in the realms. Some think of death as a simple event, but
there are those of us who believe Death is a mystical occurrence. Is there energy released at the
time of one's Death? Where does the soul go when it separates from the body, and what path does
it take to get there? Does any of this change with how we Die? What is the difference between
when a creature dies slowly of old age versus a creature who dies violently in combat? These are
the questions we seek to answer. Our fascination with Death doesn't end there, however. Imagine if
we could answer any of these questions. Then we might be able to change the way Death works.
Can we capture the energy released at the time of death? Can we control the direction and
destination of the soul? Can we use the power of our enemies Death's to make us more powerful?
These are the questions which occupy us. Will we ever know it all? There is always one more
question. We are a long lived race, but that is insignificant compared to the time Death has existed.
Some think of Death as evil. It is not evil, but if there is a way to make it so, we will find it.
