Top Characters!

Do you want to know who the best character would be for you deck? Find the answer here! This guild covers most of the best characters in the game. Remember if my guild doesn't cover your character it doesn't mean that it isn't suited to your deck.
Filius Flitwick

Best as: Starter

In what sort of decks: Charms

Why: Flitwick provides one charms power so you don't need any charms lessons in your deck. His power means you can get that card like Stuperfy to finish your opponent off. Flitwick is an all round character. He can be usful at the start and at the end.

Power: Once per game, you may trade two cards in your hand for a card in your discard pile that needs charm power. Provides one Charms.

Hermione Granger

Best as: Starter

In what sort of decks: Quick decks, high power decks, high discard decks

Why: Because you can get lessons out for those high power cards you may have. You can even use her in a high discard deck like potions in conjuction with Accio to get lessons back or Alchemy to find two lessons and play them, 2 actions, 2 lessons. Just like what most of your opponents will be able to do. Be warned though, she is not powerful in weenie decks, as you can see from her power.

Power: If you already have 2 or more lessons out then whenever you use an action to play a lesson card you may play two instead of one.

Severus Snape

Best as: Starter

In what sort of decks: Non-potion, Potion

Why: You may be wondering how a potion lesson providing card is good in a non-potion deck. Simple, you get a free lesson and you can heal your best 7 cards back into your deck without even using an action! Remember if you are using him as your starter in a discarding potion deck you must still have potion lessons.

Power: Once per game you may shuffle up to 7 cards in your discard pile into your deck. Provides one Potion.

Prof. McGonagall

Best as: Starter

In what sort of decks: Transfiguration

Why: You get to discard that pesky adventure your opponent played. Pity you can only do it once per game... This is best used against a '4 Privet Drive' since you can't use any spell cards to discard it. You also get a free Transfiguration lesson, which means you don't need any Tranfiguration lessons in your deck!

Power: Once per game you may discard an adventure played by your opponent (you don't get the reward). Provides one Trans. lesson.

Oliver Wood

Best as: Ally

In what sort of decks: Quidditch damage

Why: Because you can do an extra 8 damage! You may be wondering why he is better as an ally. Well thats simple, he is good only once. There are much better characters you can have as your starter. Be warned though, if you are playing a quidditch speed deck, he would be better as your starter.

Power: Once per game you may do an extra 8 damage when a card that needs quidditch power does damage.

Professor Quirinus Quirrell

Best as: Starter

In what sort of decks: Spell damage decks

Why: Because you could really even the playing field if your opponent is playing a creature speed deck. If you come up against a creature speed deck, you will be easily be able to discard many of their items and creatures! This card can also be great if you play a slow (high cost) deck. You could power up, then use an action and your opponents hard work (with creatures/items) is gone! Be warned though! It only returns the cards to the owners hands, and the card effects both players!

Power: Once per game, you may use an action to return all creatures and items to their owners hands.
