Winter Holiday Concert Dec. 8, 1999
Wind Ensemble
Fantasia in G, by Timothy Mahr -- Probably the coolest piece we've played all year. This piece is based on Beethoven's "Ode to Joy." DL
Fall Concert Nov. 16, 1999
Wind Ensemble and Concert Band
Wind Ensemble
Overture to Beatrice and Benedict, by Hector Berlioz -- A really good piece featuring the trumpet section. DL
Chorale and Shaker Dance, by John Zdechlik -- Our director said that this was one of the better pieces for high school and college bands and he couldn't have been more right. DL
Gallop -- Think circus finale. DL
Jazz Band 2
Say What?, by Paul Clark -- Our beginning jazz band's very first performance. DL
Percussion Ensemble
Me Tarzan, -- Tarzan, Jane, Boy, and Cheetah play a really cool piece using their bodies as musical instruments! DL
Potpourri Sept. 30, 1999
Our first concert of the year. Enjoy!! PLEASE NOTE: You must download these pieces to listen to them.
Wind Ensemble
Espirit de Corps by Robert Jager -- My personal favorite, part of it got cut off though. Don't worry, most of it is repeated at the end of the song.
Wind Ensemble and Concert Band
Manatee Lyric Overture by Robert Sheldon -- Our Freshman Concert Band performed for the very first time, accompanied by the Wind Ensemble.
Jazz Band
Four by Miles Davis -- Cool piece.
Groovin' Hard by Don Menza -- You will be "groovin'" when you hear this piece.
Salt Peanuts by Dizzy Gillespie -- A Jazz Band favorite.
The Marching Giants
The Beatles -- "Sergeant Pepper" and "Hey Jude" rolled into one song.
Percussion Ensemble
Stinking Garbage -- GARBAGE CANS RULE!!! This piece has become quite popular throughout the school and the community.
