The first meeting of the Hamilton Park Neighborhood Association was called to order in 1975. Residents were concerned about deteriorating living conditions in the neighborhood and the sidewalk around the park that was in disrepair. These issues, as well as devotion to restoring the area, sparked the founding members to come together and collectively address the situation.
This was the start of a monthly ritual which continues today, where neighbors meet to discuss the issues and the opportunities in our neighborhood as they unfold.
Founded more than 20 years ago, the Hamilton Park Neighborhood Association's purpose is to serve the interests and needs of the people within and beyond its historic designated area. The HPNA is dedicated to serving the interests and needs of the people by:
Monthly meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at The Community Center at Grove & 9th, 3rd Floor at 8:00 p.m..
Membership is $5.00 per household
per calendar year.
Our next meeting will be held on August 2, 2000. Developer representatives from Highgate will be present to discuss their proposed Cyber Hotel use to be located within the Moishe’s warehouse building just North of 10th Street between Monmouth and Coles Streets.
