J.K. ROWLING J.K.
Rowling ( Joanna Kathleen Rowling ) started writing really early as
young as 12 years old or so. She used to write many short stories when
she was small and she used to put many of her friends in them too. She
used to think Hermione as herself ( Well, If Hermione turns out to be
like JKR then in the books we might have some stories of Hermione ). Not
good at math ? Well, don't worry nor was JKR , she once got a zero in
math :-) "Some
of the Characters have been made up in The Harry Potter book" Says
Rowling but many of them are on real-life people. Harry Like Ian Potter,
JKR's Close Friend. Ron a boy she knew & Hermione as herself ! UK USA I think
she gets way to much fan mail, so don't get your hopes high as if you're
lucky then only she'll reply to you. Anyway, well maybe I'm right and
maybe I'm wrong........ As a kid, J.K. Rowling told her first stories to her younger sister, Di. One of her earliest stories featured Di falling down a rabbit hole and getting fed strawberries by rabbits! Rowling's first written story was about a rabbit named Rabbit. He got measles and was visited by all his animal friends and then a very magical story occurred Like Harry and gang...... As you know Rowling loved to write b... Let's call them stories and even featured her friends in them and always ended these stories with " To be Continued" . Well, I think that's it for this page ! If you have anything you want to add please
Harry
Potter's first book has a different title in Britain than it does in
America. The author suggested that Harry Potter and the Philosopher's
Stone be changed to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone to avoid
confusion. Steven Spielberg wanted to direct the Harry Potter movie but was unhappy because he couldn't cast Haley Joel Osment (Sixth Sense) as the hero. Rowling wants a British boy. Moviemakers wanted to change Hermione's name to Bailey, as well as add cheerleaders and a girl friend for Harry in the movie. Rowling said no to these changes. Rowling says she'll write an official "companion" book to the Harry Potter series when the Harry Potter movie arrives in theaters next year. Hermoine is based on the author herself. "I think I was really annoying when I was 11," Rowling says. "I loosened up though, as I got older - a lot." Wizards have to learn magic when they're young. Older people can only cast their first spells under special circumstances. Most wizards are afraid to speak the name of evil Lord Voldemort. Maybe it's because, in French, vol de mort can mean the theft of a dead body! (Hey then why'd I write that ?) Harry
Potter was born on July 31, 1980. He turned 13 before receiving his
first birthday card! The highest award any witch or wizard can receive
is the Order of Merlin, First Class. Hogwarts headmaster Albus
Dumbledore is famous for, among other reasons, discovering the 12 uses
of dragon's blood. One of them is oven cleaning, but the rest are
secret- so far! Harry's not the only kid with a lightning bolt on his forehead. Bookstores gave out over half-a-million tattoos of the purple scar when they first sold "Prisoner of Azkaban" Rowling hasn't yet written the seventh and final Harry Potter book, but she's already written the last paragraph "The last"
