Slytherin
Common Room
"The Slytherin common room is a long, low, underground room with rough stone walls and a ceiling from which round, greenish lamps hang from chains." The
mantelpiece is large, and elaborately carved, of marble perhaps, with several high backed chairs set before it, so that students might enjoy the warmth of the fire. The cushions of said chairs are emerald green in
colour, embroidered with silver serpents. The house banner hangs upon the wall in several different places, and there are, here and there, green and black leather couches scattered about. The entrance is just off a hallway in one of the dungeon corridors, behind a
tapestry. Of course, the section of stone wall only moves when the right password is spoken.
