ENGLISH FOR PRE-UNIVERSITY

I. SYNOPSIS

English for Pre-University is a two-year program specially designed for Senior High School(SMU) students (from the first year to the third year) to prepare them for further studies at universities either in Indonesia or in English speaking countries, such as, USA, England, Australia, Singapore or the Philippines. The program covers grammar, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, and vocabulary development.

II. OBJECTIVES

By the end of the program participants will be able to use their knowledge and skills to communicate with native speakers and follow lectures given by English native speakers and score at least 500 in TOEFL.

III. REQUIREMENTS

Pass placement Test for Basic Communication Skills 3 or pass Basic Communication Skills 2

IV. DURATION

Four hundred eighty (480) hours spread over a two-year period. Classes meet three times a week for one and a half hour each.
