Intermediate Communication Skills 1 provides participants with skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing at an intermediate level. Reading and speaking material is based on current topics found in newspaper, magazines and other publications. Grammatical Structures are reviewed systematically, and writing skill is developed by giving journal writing assignment using enumeration and chronological development.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to communicate with other people in the work place and in everyday situations, in both written and spoken English at a post elementary level.
GRAMMAR: Tenses, Modal, Passive Voice, Agreement. LISTENING: Listening Comprehension from "Listen for It. SPEAKING: Article Reporting. VOCABULARY AND READING: Article from Current Newspapers and Magazines Exercise from "Word Power 1500". WRITING: Journal Writing, Enumeration and chronological order.
Pass Placement Test for Intermediate Communication Skills 1 or pass Basic Communication Skills 3.
Sixty hours. The course meets three times a week
for 12 weeks. Each session lasts one and a half hours.
