What Hunter is up to now............ |
|
|
Today is October 10, 2003. Hunter is home from school today due to a cold. Things have been going good here. Hunter is keeping busy with school. He loves school and has made a lot of new friends. The boys are eagerly waiting for Halloween to get here. Last year it was very cold out so trick-o-treating was not much fun. Hopefully the weather will be better this year. We still have to go costume shopping. Hunter's last set of tests were done on September 4th. All of his tests came back clear. On November 4th it will have been 2 years since his last chemo treatment. The doctors are very happy about this. His next set of tests will be on December 4th. |

Today is November 8: Hunter is doing great. He finished his first quarter of kindergarten. He was Harry Potter for Halloween....Logan was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. They liked getting candy, but wanted to stop after only 15 minutes. I, however, made them stay out a little longer. We stopped right before the drizzle began to fall. Now we are all looking forward to the holidays. |

Today is December 9th. Hunter had his testing done last week. He is still cancer free. We are very happy. Now, we can enjoy another Christmas and embrace a Happy New Year. Hunter will not be tested again for 6 months. We are very excited about this time frame. For the past two years he was being tested every 3 months. So it will be nice for him to have a much bigger brake from the hospital then he has been having. Hunter had a Christmas program at school also last week. He got to wear a gold halo and a white robe. He looked adorable. Next week they will be going caroling with a few other classes. Hunter will be having a birthday party soon. He will be 6 years old on January 9th. He is very excited because he is having his party at Chuck E Cheeses. He will be inviting a few friends from school as well as family members. |

Today is January 18th. Hunter had a great time at his birthday party. He played games, got up and danced and had a mess of presents to open. School has been going good. Hunter said they are starting to read a few sentences. This past weekend Hunter went to his first sleep-over. He stayed at his friend Landon's house. He had a good time. It was hard to not have him home. This was the first time he was really away from us and we all missed him. It is bitter cold out today. I would like the boys to be able to play outside more this winter, but it has been way too cold. Overall, Hunter is doing great. |

Today is November 10th 2004. I haven't been able to provide you with any updates for the past 10 months due to computer problems. I am happy to let you all know that Hunter has been doing great! He is in the first grade this year. He has grown taller and has changed in personality as well. He is a smart boy. He is learning math, learning how to read, and learning how to spell and write words. We are very proud of him and all he has accomplished. He has received good reports at his last check-ups. As of Nov. 4th it has been 3 years since Hunter's last chemo treatment. He is still gettting checked every 6 months. |

Today is May 2nd, 2005: Hunter has been doing great this past year. He is almost done with 1st grade. He is eager for summer to get here. He will be playing baseball and taking swimming lessons this summer. He has been spending his free time playing Playstation 2. Whenever the weather is nice outside you will find Hunter either riding his bike with his brother, or hitting baseballs over our house. He has grown taller and has really became an independent person over the last year. He is still getting checked every 6 months. His next appointment is in June. |
