So far this year we have raced twice and practiced once. The year has been off to rocky start. Not everything has been bad, we recently signed with IGIT Construction Inc. for title sponsorship for the 2006 campain.
On May 20 we went out for practice. Things were looking good untill saturday when we had some last minute probelms causing us to be late. The first session went okay but I realized I had to make some serious driver adjustments to make the car work properly. The second session I went out and the car worked awsome just by making one minor chassis adjustment and changing my driving style. The third session we went out and the car was good but about 3 laps in the tranny gave up. That put a premature end to our practice day.
On June 3 we went out for our first race, I was really confident that the car would be good because of how it felt play day. All night we were just too tight, the car seemed to get worse as the night went on. Durring the main we were running 7th when I hit a huge rut witched caused the nose to pop blocking most of my view I was blacked flaged a few laps later. We made repairs and went back out but we were a few laps down. I finished 10th.
June 10 was our second race of the season I made adjustments to the car to make it better but it still wasn't where I wanted it. I had carb problems be for the heat race and was unable to start. I started 9th in the main and was running 7th on lap 4 when a car spun directly in front of me. I had nowhere to go so I locked up the brakes and slid into him. Major damage was done, but I will have it ready for the next race.
