Scouting is a fun way for a teenage boy to get out into the world to learn and make new friends. Scouting consists of learning how to be a better person, camping and activities, cummunity, service, and of course, FUN!!!

Troop 226 goes on a different trip every month, that is fun and exciting. Click on the "Trips" link on the top left-hand corner of this page to find out more about our Troop's trips!

Boy Scout Shop

Troop 226 is leaded by Mr. Skip Ford.He is a former Boy Scout, and has been with the Troop 226 since he was a young Scout. Now, he is the Scoutmaster of the troop. Our troop's Senior Patrol Leader(a SPL is a scout) is Ian. He is a Life rank scout, which means he is just a step away from being an Eagle Scout. He is third in command. Nathaniel, the new Junior Scout Leader, is second in command next to Mr. Ford.      Our troop has four patrols. Banana, Flaming Arrow, Dragon, and Geezer(adults). When a new scout joins the troop, he will be sorted into one of the three "Scout" patrols, Banana. Flaming Arrow, or Dragon. No matter which one he is put into, it will be just as fun, he will make just as many friends, and will learn just as much.

Boy Scout Camps

Troop 226 has yearly Troop Elections. This is where  the troop gets together and votes on who will be Senior Patrol Leader(SPL), Assistant SPL, and Quartermaster(keeps upwith gear). We also have Patrol Elections in which each patrol votes for a Patrol Leader, Assisitant Patrol Leader, and Quartermaster.
