Hupo is part Poodle and part Chihuahua. Her parents were both pure-breeds. She is totally SPOILED and proud of it!!! |

Hupo lives with me, Cynthia. She came to live with me when I moved into my first home. When I was choosing a name for her, I decided I didn't want a typical dog name. I had really been going through some tough stuff and had been taking a Bible study where every week the teacher taked about a Greek word, Hupomeno. Hupomeno means to endure, to bear up under -- giving the picture of enduring our trials and tribulations WITH JESUS. See James 1:12, 5:11; I Corinthians 10:13; Romans 12:12. THAT WAS IT!!! Hupomeno became the name of my "baby" so that I would be daily reminded that my life should be spent hupomeno-ing with Jesus.
Hupo likes to lick my legs while I am working on the computer. She has several raggedy old teddy bears or similar animals that she likes to wrangle with her teeth--what few teeth she has left. She likes Milkbone treats, but she likes people food better (and only gets people food at MamMa's).

She doesn't really do the typical dog tricks. Her claim to fame is her singing. She sings Happy Birthday to lots of my online friends. (I LOVE Yahoo voice chats...heehee) In her younger days, she could jump up about 4 1/2 feet for a doggie biscuit.

She loves to go to MamMa's and I have to be careful about telling her that we are going until we are ready to leave OR she will drive me nuts until we leave. You'll NEVER convince me dogs can't understand things you say!!! |
