Devil In A Bottle
"I'm a alcoholic."  "I've reached the bottom."  "I feel like a pig in the mud."  Sound familiar.
Thousands of men and women across the United States are suffering from a disease.  Society calls them alcoholics.  I call it...
"The Devil in a bottle."  Jesus calls it "Sin"

How can you help someone that Satan has his grasp upon ?  A grip of strangulation right around the soul.  Satan takes a death grip and he's determined not to let go.  He's got you!

The pit bull of hell is biting and chewing on you like a hungry dog with rabies.  He smells blood and total defeat is just moments away.

But wait !  There's someone in your corner. A friend that will stick closer than a brother. It's Jesus Christ the Son of God.  The King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  He's ready to pull Satans slimy hands off of your neck.  He's ready to rescue you and give you life.

Remember Peter, one of the twelve disciples who once walked on water. Peter warned us to be sober and to watch out for attacks from the Devil. He described him as our adversary and as roaring lion which is walking around seeking whom he may devour.  (1 Peter 5:8)

Don't give up my brother !  Hang in there !  Keep breathing ! I know your tired and out of breath !  I know you feel like you can't make it.  The odds are against you. But you do have a friend pulling for you.  You know the friend I'm talking about.  The one who helped Peter back to his feet time after time.

Jesus told Simon Peter (Luke 22:31) "Simon, Simon, Satan has desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat.  But I have prayed for you that your faith will not fail." He added, "So repent and turn to me so you can help others."

Peter replied to Jesus, " I am ready to go with thee to prison and to death."

What about you poor soul ?  Are you ready to give up  that "Devil in a Bottle"  ?  Are you ready to say like Peter,  I am ready to follow you Jesus  ?  Do it now ?  Repent and accept Jesus as your Savior.  Come just as your are.

You are no match for this wild beast ?  Satan
is the toughest opponent that you will ever face.  He's knows where you live.  He knows where you hurt.  And, He knows your weakness is that bottle.  So everytime you think about a drink.  Just look at the bottle and watch the liquid Devil inside.  He wants in you ?  Are you going to let him in ?

Get on your knees and humble yourself before God. Feel his presense and Repent as the music plays "Just As I Am"

Give up that Bottle and take up the Cross.

There's Hope...It's spelled J E S U S !
