Spiral galaxy NGC1300
NGC 1300 is located 70 million ly away in the constellation Eridanus. It is a barred spiral galaxy with sweeping majestic arms and an curious assymmetry. NGC1300 is similar in size to our own galaxy. It is not known to harbour a central supermassive black hole although many other galaxies do, including our Milky Way.
