Norway vs Armenia 0:0 Even though Norway was the favorite in the 5th qualifing group, Armenia dared to get out of Norway with a point. From the first minutes Norway's talanted and skilled players pressed Armenians into their half making dangerous moments on front goals of Roman Berezovski, who deserved to be named the player of the game. He stopped the shots and dangerous plays of talanted and experienced players such as Tore Andre Flo of Glazgow Rangers and the dramatic save when Olle Gunar Solskjaer of Manchester United was left alone with him. During 90 minutes of attacking Norway couldn't accomplish anything despite having 9 100% realistic chances of scoring. Even though Armenia didn't make any dangerous moments on front of Olsen, the coach of Armenian National Team Aram Parsadanyan was proud of the way his players played. "I couldn't ask for me from them," he said. | |||||||||||||||||||||
Armenia vs Ukraine 2:3 In last couple of years Armenia and Ukraine see each other very often. It happened in Worl Cup 98 Qualifiers, it happened in Euro 2000 Qualifiers and it's happening in this year's qualifing games. But this was the game that Armenia should have won. After four minutes it was Shevchenko's time again. Forward of Tottenham and Ukraine Sergei Rebrov made a beautiful pass to his attacking partner who scored the game winning goal.
