Dead Ends and Girlfriends Allister punk * * * * * super-poppy and super-punk at the same time. Those who think that pop and punk are seperate genres should listen to this CD . . . and then remember that bands like "The Ramones", "Sex Pistols", and "The Descendents", who started the punk revolution also had an element of pop. SO . . . . if you are truly "pure punk", maybe you should open up your mind a little bit. Sorry, I had to say something about this retarded misunderstanding and controversy in my review, but someone has to say it. Best songs on this CD are "Moper", "Miz", and "Moon Lake Village". for what it's worth, these are really nice guys as well. Just hang out for a while after thier shows, and most likely they will allow you to follow them to dinner. A must have! |
Blue Skies, Broken Hearts . . . Next 12 Exits The Ataris punk * * * * * The best Ataris CD. every song is awesome. can be described as emotional pop punk. a must have. best songs are "Losing Streak", "San Dimas High School Football Rules", "Your Boyfriend Sucks". |
End is Forever The Ataris punk * * * * * Although this is not thier best CD, all of the songs are awesome. My favorite song, "IOU one galaxy", is on this one. aslo "summer winds was always our song" and "up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, start" kick ass. another must have for fans of pop punk. |
From the Screen to Your Stereo New Found Glory punk * * * * * My first NFG CD. the one that got me hooked. This CD is punk covers of movie songs. my favorites are "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic and "Never Ending Story". This can usually found inexpensive due to the fact there are 7 songs on it. |
Last Stop Suburbia Allister punk * * * * * Lacks the originality of the old Allister. less punk and more pop than "Dead End's and Girlfriends", but generally a higher quality production. Best songs are "Scartch", "Overrated", and "Somewhere Down on Fullerton". |
Sticks and Stones New Found Glory punk * * * I was slightly dissapointed when this CD came out. NFG's first CD was much better at combining the pop with the punk. the pop in this CD is overdone, and the CD in general is overproduced. it seems impure. oh well. "My Friends Over You" and "Understatement" are awesome songs. it was worth the money when I bought it. but thier popularity has caused the price to inflate unreasonably. I don't know if I should reccomend it or not. |
New Found Glory New Found Glory punk * * * * * The best pop-punk CD in the universe! a little old maybe, since I have listened to it a million times, but nevertheless, the best CD in it's genre. The guys in the band are mean and stupid, but we won't hold that against them. The best songs are "Better off Dead", "Sincerely me", and "Boy Crazy". |
With Hopes of Starting Over EP The Starting Line Punk * * * * * Arguably the 5 best punk songs in the universe. you better pick this up. ALL SONGS RULE. the songs that re-appear on the full length are re-done and do not sound as good. a must have! |
Say it Like You Mean it The Starting Line punk * * * * * Contains 2 re-done tracks off their EP "With Hopes of Starting Over" with 10 original tunes, a well as one punk cover. The new songs are very fresh, yet distinguishable as Starting Line, quality, energetic, emotional pop-punk. The "Leaving"' re-recording's quality has somewhat improved, but "Saddest Girl Story" has lost it's energy and much of it's melody through re-recording. Altogether a very high-quality production, with more than enough energy and emotion to satisfy all of your punk-rock needs. |
Perhaps, I Suppose Rufio punk * * * * * I was obsessed with this CD for a while. some hardcore, some emo. I am very impressed by thier variety and originality. must have for all punk types. difficult to find though. The best songs are "still", "above me", and "road to recovery". |
Tell All Your Friends Taking Back Sunday punk * * * * * This CD is very emotional, slightly whiney, but very well done. a must have for emo fans. Best songs include "Cute Without The 'E' (Cut From The Team)", "Bike Scene", and "You Know How I Do". |
This Viscous Cycle Junction 18 punk * * * * * wow! I picked up this CD for $10 at FYE! one of the best deals for a CD ever. very high quality pop-punk. a must have. Best songs are "Sweet Steps" and "Granite Street Knife Fight", but all of them kick ass. buy! buy! buy! |
What it is to Burn Finch punk/metal * * * * * Next to Lost Prophets "Fake Sound of Progress" and Thrice "Identity Crisis", this CD is the best in its genre. very emotional, metal-punk hyrbrid. The best songs are "New Begginings", "Letters to You", "Post Script", "Perfection Through Silence", "Stay with Me", "Ender" . . . hell, all of them. YOU MUST BUY THIS CD. |
This Time Next Year The Movielife punk * * * * * This full length is similar to the pure punkness of the movielife's EP, only a little harder, more emotional. It took me a while to get use to. but all around an awesome CD. my favorite songs are "10 Seconds Too Late" and "Once In A Row". |

Has a Gambling Problem The Movielife Punk * * * * * This CD has the 5 best movielife songs on it. The Movielife can be described as pure punk. not really poppy, not really hardcore, not really emo. just punk. My favorites are "Walking On Glass" and "Operate". |
