George was the subject of an edition of "This Is Your Life" which was transmitted on BBC1 on January 18th 1999.  Those who appeared in the studio, or on video, to pay tribute from IAHHM were:  Melvyn Hayes,  Don Estelle,  Mike Kinsey,  Kenneth MacDonald,  and Michael Knowles.

George wrote the screenplay for an unmade film in 1979.  The script was titled "CARRY ON AGAIN NURSE" and was not made due to the poor box office takings for the previous film in the series "Carry On Emmanuelle"
